Appointments

Appointments are available required each day for all doctors. Appointments can be made by calling us on (02) 9670 1676 or (02) 9670 2937. You can also use our online booking system by downloading the 'HotDoc' app from the Apple Store or Google Play. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. Emergencies will always be given priority. Our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any delay or your GP has been called away. Longer consultation times are available, so please ask our receptionists if you require some extra time. If you or a family member requires an interpreter service, we can organise this for you. Please let us know when you make the appointment.

Telephone Calls

You can contact your doctor by ringing during surgery hours. It is preferable that you attend for consultations, but exceptions can be made for over the phone consultations. Emergency calls will always be put straight through to the doctor.

House Calls

We can arrange to visit you for urgent cases. Please ring (02) 9670 1676 or (02) 9670 2937. Please note that home visits will be for patients of our practice only and are not bulked billed.

Customer Feedback and Complaint Resolution

There is a suggestion and complaints box in the reception area as well as the practice email address in which you can send in your feedback. You can also find the practice page on Facebook. If you have a complaint which may not be resolved within the practice, you can contact the Health Care Complaints Commission on .(02) 9219 7444.

After Hours

When the surgery is closed, in the case of an emergency please ring '000'. You can call us on (02) 9670 1676 after hours to obtain the mobile phone for the doctor on duty. You can also attend the Accident & Emergency department at Mt Druitt Hospital (Phone: 9881 1555) or Nepean Hospital (Phone: 4734 2000). You can phone also call 13SICK for home visits. Alternatively, phone Health Direct on 1800 022 222 for advice.

Policy for Following Up Results 

Your doctor will advise when they expect results to arrive at the practice. Book an appointment with your doctor to discuss your results. The surgery will only contact you if your results are urgent or abnormal.

Recall & Reminder System

Our Practice is committed to preventative care. You can receive reminders when you are due for blood tests, pap smears, health reviews. These are usually sent by text message system.  

We recall patients regarding their test results and other important reports as per Doctor's request.

We may also issue you with multiple reminder/recall notices via SMS, phone calls and mail offering you preventative and treatment health services appropriate for your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let your doctor or reception know. Also, please advise reception at your earliest convenience if you experience a change of details such as your address or phone number.

Fees

All patients are bulk-billed. Please bring your valid Medicare card with you to the surgery and inform us if it has changed, expired or been updated. Some surgical procedures may not be bulk billed and require additional costs. 

New patients are charged $90 for initial consultation (up to 20 mins) or $150 for a long consultation. New patients can claim Medicare Rebate ($41/$72). 

Management of Your Personal Information

Your medical records are confidential documents. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff (reception included} as well as being secured on our BP program.
