Important Service Information

Transition from General Primary Health Care to Weight Management & Preventative Wellness

St Clair Medical Practice is transitioning to a specialised clinical service model focused on Weight Management, Metabolic Health and Preventive Wellness. As such, we are no longer offering comprehensive general primary care (e.g. ongoing GP management of unrelated or complex medical conditions). Patients who require general medical care are encouraged to continue this with another GP or medical practice while we focus on delivering this specialised service.

St Clair Medical Practice is excited to announce a new clinical focus on Preventatice Wellness & Weight-Management care,  which is our primary clinical offering at this time. This service provides structured medical care for patients seeking support with weight management, metabolic health, and lifestyle-related health optimisation.

  • Wellness and Weight Management Consultations

    Available to new and existing patients.


    This service is designed for adults seeking medical support with:

    • Weight management
    • Metabolic health
    • Lifestyle-related health optimisation

    What this service includes:

    • Clinical assessment
    • Individualised care planning
    • Lifestyle and behavioural support
    • Medication review and management where clinically appropriate
    • Ongoing monitoring and support

    Booking information:

    • New patients are welcome
    • Bulk-billed (eligibility assessed at booking and consultation)
    • No referral required
    • Patients may self-present
    • Appointments are guided by clinical assessment and suitability

  • Immunisations & Vaccinations

    Available to new and existing patients.


    We provide a range of immunisations and vaccinations, including:

    • Childhood immunisations
    • COVID-19 boosters
    • Influenza (flu) vaccinations
    • Travel vaccinations
    • Catch-up immunisations (including for migrants and returning residents)

    Additional Information:

    • Vaccines covered under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) are provided at no cost 
    • Private fees may apply for vaccines not covered by NIP
    • Fee information is provided at booking or prior to administration
  • Administration of Prescribed Injections

    Available to new and existing patients.


    We can administer injections where the patient has a valid prescription, including (but not limited to):

    • Vitamin B12 injections, Allergy Desensitising injections, Depo Provera injections etc.
    • Other prescribed injectable medications

    Patients must bring:

    • The prescription
    • The medication (where applicable)
    • Any relevant supporting documentation
  • Iron Infusions

     Available to new and existing patients.


    Requirements:

    • A valid prescription
    • Recent blood test results (within the past 3 months). Results must be provided at or before the appointment
    • Patients without appropriate documentation may have their appointment deferred.
    • Private Fee $180


  • Follow-up of Test Results Ordered Through the Practice

    We provide follow-up only for investigations ordered through St Clair Medical Practice.


    This includes:

    • Review and communication of results
    • Appropriate follow-up within the scope of services provided

    We do not routinely manage or follow up results ordered by external providers unless explicitly agreed.

  • Medical Record Access & Transfers

    Patients may request access to or transfer of their medical records.

    • Requests must be submitted using the practice’s official request process
    • Administrative fees may apply
    • Processing timeframes comply with statutory requirements
